We have just had our website moved to HTTPS so when we add our URL to search engines etc, business listings....do we need to add the URL https:// ?

yes indeed you need add it as https://
But depending on your web server you can do automatic redirection (or url rewriting) from http:// to https:// site. It is very handy if you already have registered your old site on search engines and directories
which http server do you use?

Ok no worries...I shall chat with the hosting company.  As we don;t want people logging in on the old HTTP site.

and yes I will register with the HTTP. and then add the HTTPS site as well..
