Message Tracking Center

Exchange 2003, Native mode

I have sent a message to an external contact.  A few minutes later if I go into the message tracking center to track the message I get the following results.

There is no subject listed under Subject even though I had a subject.  This is also occurring on internal email that is tracked as well.

Also the following sequence occurs:

SMTP Store Driver: Message submitted from store
SMTP: Message submitted to advanced queuing
SMTP: Message submitted to categorizer
SMTP: Message categorized and queued for routing
SMTP: Message routed and queued for remote delivery
SMTP: Started outbound transfer of message

At this point a pop up window appears with:

The object ******************************************
in the message tracking logs can’t be found in the directory.  The object may have been deleted.  The tracking history may be incorrect.

Selecting OK closes the window and I get:

SMTP: Message transferred to ***************************

The remote site gets the message.  I am not getting any error messages in my logs.

OK, any thoughts on this or where I begin to look to find out what is going on?

So things are working OK at my end.  I just won't be able to see the hand of the message?  What about no subject in the subject line?

Mike
Have you got subject line tracking turned on?
All that you will not see is the SMTP banner of the server that the message was delivered to.

I thought that was a default setting that couldn't be turned off . I'll check Monday.  Thanks for the help.
