  Hi,
I am developing  a  vb.net windows appln.  I am writing from  oracle database to an XML file.  In another applicaion from this XML file , ultimately  I need to show the contents on  a  datagrid  .
My issue is  all the columns on the the datagrid  are recognised as string  . I have integer, double and datetime columns . THe sorting on these columns are now "string sorting"

  can you help?

one way would be to have the XML with schema (additional keys that define what the columns types are). try this link for tips
