SBS 2000 Product Keys

Hi Experts!

I have acquired an SBS 2000 box and have installed the OS using the license COA sticker provided.  I am now ready to install the components (ISA, SQL + Exchange) but have not been provided with the Product Keys for these.  The SBS 2000 license obviously covers me licensing wise but I cannot install the software without the individual keys!  Is there a workaround for this (ie contacting Microsoft etc) or am I stuck?!

Components are installed with SBS's unified installation, not separately.  So run the SBS install again and select those components to install.

I do not recall the option to do this.  Is this the way with SBS 2000 as I am definately being asked for the old style product keys when I install the components? ie xxxx-xxxxxxx  and not the coa xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx

How are you installing the components?  You should do this only by running the SBS Setup.

I put disk 1 in first of all and booted from that, as with any OS.  I was then expecting to be prompted for disk 2 when I got to the Windows stage to continue with the SBS installation but never was.  I then put in disk number 2 and autorun did not invoke any installation.  When I then searched the disk for EXE files, I only found the component installation files, which in turn, all asked for individual product keys.  I`m starting to think that this could have been a strange early version of the software pre-unified installation sets?

Try running the Integrated setup from Add/Remove Programs > Windows Small Business Server
