I am trying to configure a cisco pix 515E firewall so can you please help me on this topic.

Hi mivbinfotech,

That's a bit of a broad question.

What are you attempting to do? Do you have experience with Cisco ACL's? Which version of the Cisco OS is loaded?

I found the answer..actually i wanted to rename my host..i made it..thank u any way

Now you've renamed your host, have you re-created the RSA key/certificate? You were probably presented with an statement about the certificate having lost it's association with the hostname.

It's not a critical thing, but it's nice to fix for completeness sake.

ca zeroize rsa
ca generate rsa key 1024

The second line creates a 1024 bit key. The key length can be from 512bit to 2048bit in lenth.
