Hi experts,

I have an old asp website( vbscript+asp 1), we need to move it to j2EE but without rewriting everything , the managers want to cohabite both tecnologies at the 1rst phase: he want to do every new developpement in j2EE ,so every new page should be in jsp aand the old asp page should communicate with those new pages.
we are using websphere 6 for j2ee and IIS 5 for asp and vbscript.

I need your advice regarding the choice of technologies to  make this work, I<m thinking on using webservices but i<m not sure it's easy to call a web service from an old asp page or vbscript programme.

I need your advice also regarding the configuration of both servers.

any input would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,

If you asking about from server side performance then its not effect any from the server but in the language side the following topics cleared before do it, I am not from programming side so you have also contact to your programming guys for it.

1. If you are using any cl assess OR  modules in the ASP then you have to also create same cl assess for the J2ee code because that function not work with the j2ee.

You can also check with the some j2ee test code first and after that upload site because its depend on your application so if your appication is very huge and you just want to add only few pages of j2ee then its ok.

Let me know if I can be of any further help you.
