Restricting Sametime access

hello

Is there anyway to restrict access to Sametime instant messaging?

We currently have desktop and security policies in place which do not specify our sametime server and have the Allow users to modify box unticked. But users who are aware of the settings are able to fill in these details in their locations doc as its not locked down.

the polices seem to be working ok in other areas.

Restricting access in the server document is no help.

Any ideas?

forgot to add... We do want a select few people to access and use instant messaging, so just turning off the sametime server is not the answer.

Thanks.. These are useful, but it is mainly the instant messaging built into Notes that we need control of. Currently there doesn't seem any way to lock down the location doc using a policy, of if you can it doesn't seem to be locking down the sametime server field under the servers tab.

Solved.. If you add a dummy Sametime server into the person document it tells users they are unable to connect.

thanks for the assistance
