rdp printer redirection
I have terminal services setup on a windows 2000 server. When logging in the printer redirection does not seem to work and the local printers are not being brought up to use. Is there anything that needs to be set for this to work properly.

make sure that the printer drivers for the 'local' printer are installed on BOTH the client and the server end.
i assume by local you mean local to the RDC client?

You really don't have to have drivers for the printer installed on both the server and the Remote Desktop Client. Most problems stem from port names. Is the local printer a USB printer? What is the port name it is printing to? What is the make/model/interface of the printer?

well all i know is adding the correct drivers on the server AND the client has solved 100% of my RDC printing issues.
