You could export and import users with utilities like CSVDE and LDFIDE.

CSVDE: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/327620
LDIFDE: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/237677

Both tools have some limitations.

What is so wrong with your DC, that it requires domain rebuilding. There might be easier way out.

Domain has been built with non-existing domain. (Now idea why?!?) Soon there will be Exchange server in the domain and that's why need to rebuild domain with real domain name.

Internal DNS name space should not overlap with external DNS namespace. If your DNS domain iz now something.local, you could still use anything.com for your Exchange.

Existing Domain is used by someother company and we have to ask our ISP to make reverse DNS for the exchange server, so that is why we change the domain.
