Jpeg and mail merge - how do you do it..

hi,

I am a non-professional in the graphics world. I would like to do a mialing for tax season this year.
I would like to merge my clients names right into the 1040 and and send it to each of them, in solicitation for my services.
I scanned in a 1040 and got a JPG...
When it printed, i used publisher and merged fields on to a blank publications.  If i make copies of the 1040, and then use that to run through the machine for a second time... i get a 1040 that is filled in.....
However, isn't there a way to do it with " one pass through the printer., and merge the fileds on to an image...

Any help appreciated.

Intelogent,

I can think of a couple of ways of doing this. Perhaps the easiest would be to output a PDF with what appears to be merged data (using your scanned 1040 as a background) and then convert the PDF to an image.

If you think this process might work for you, I can help you work out the details.

Cheers,
