Good question, I don't know which version of GMLink, I installed it with Goldmine. How would I find out?<br />

Although we have licenses for other machines, they're not used (at the moment) so I couldn't tell if it's only that machine.<br />

I have a Windows XP Pro laptop running Office 2k3 and Goldmine 6.5.<br />

When the user clicks in Goldmine to &quot;write&quot; -&gt; &quot;letter to contact&quot;, it takes a very long time for Word to become active. Word will start immediately, and the address and name of the contact will appear on the document, but the hourglass forbids the user to do anything.<br />

After over a minute, the hourglass goes and the user is then able to work on their document.<br />
<br />
Obviously this is a major problem, so I would be grateful if anyone could post a fix for this. (We are using the NON-SQL version, but the database IS on a server in a shared directory)<br />

When the user clicks in Goldmine to "write" -> "letter to contact", it takes a very long time for Word to become active. Word will start immediately, and the address and name of the contact will appear on the document, but the hourglass forbids the user to do anything.

After over a minute, the hourglass goes and the user is then able to work on their document.

Goldmine Wordlink Very Slow
