Windows Media Encoder (Mix) option

Hello!
On my Desktop when I run WME 9 I have an option to record the stereo mix from my sound card so I can record the sounds going out to my speakers.

On my laptop when I run WME 9 I don't have the option to do so.

My laptop has a SigmaTel Audio sound system in it and I would like to be able to record the mixer so I can make custom sound files for my laptop.
Is there a way to give that option on my laptop?
Or is it a limitation of the card?

It's not necessarily a limitation of the card itself. It may or may not be capable, but the mixer options you are given are determined by the sound card driver. So basically, the SigmaTel driver doesn't include that function. You may have luck installing a different driver however.
