Tivoli Storage Manager and SAN

We are currently using Tivoli Storage Manager 5.2 for our daily backup schedule.
The TSM server is attached to a IBM LTO3582 23 slot ultrium 2 tape drive.

We are now getting to the point where we are running out of space for scratch tapes as the drive is filling with tapepool cartridges.

We are looking at implementing a SAN device.

What I would like to know is;

Does TSM have a SAN Manager or agent?
Have a Backup to Disk option?
Can I also help our current issue with lack of space in the tape drive or will I need to purchase a new larger drive?

Many thanks

Paul

TSM has a SAN manager option, but you would not need it here.

TSM natively can use disk pools, and you can even set a policy to migrate that disk to tape.
