Hi

I posted a question in the Exchange section but been told to post here (http://www.experts-exchange.com/Networking/Email_Groupware/Exchange_Server/Q_22070441.html)

We are migrating to Exchange 2003 from Domino 6.5 and at the moment, the only thing that we cant do from Exchange is send email externally.

When we attempt to, on the Domino console it says the exchange server is not allowed.

How can i set Domino to allow relay requests from Exchange?

I believe if your  exchange server is:  10.1.1.5, then you need to open the Lotus Notes mail configuration document, to SMTP inbound controls.   Stop SMTP routing on the server.

(Open names.nsf, click on configuration, then expand messaging, then click on configurations and open the server configuration document).

Add the ip address of the exchange server in this place:
Allow messages only from the following internet hosts to be sent to external internet domains: [10.1.1.5]

Save and close the document.
Restart the SMTP service.

I think you can also enter the DNS name: thisserve.abc.com .

I am sure other experts will pipe up if there is a better way to do this, this is from my R5 memory... :)  and I haven't tried this in R6 yet.
