554:Server not ready for data

i m trying to send mail using my smtp server to yahoo and gmail its giving an error
554:server not ready for data
554:relay access denied
i supoose my server requires authentication  
how to remove this error
can anybody can give me any sample code for this

Hi ddipro,

When is this error occuring? Have you sent your EHLO? Have you been able to successfully send an email anywhere yet?

You might want to have a look at this class as a reference to make sure you are performing the correct operations and steps involved in sending an SMTP (or now ESMTP) message:

Again some details about the requests you are makeing and the responses all up to before you get this 554 will help if you can post them.
