Video Cards PCI16x1

Good morning,

I will start off by saying I do not now anything about video cards.

I have a pc that has a slot for a pcie16x1.  What is the big difference between that and PCi?  can I use any PCIE video card is this system?
I have about 130$US to spend...any suggestions?

thanks

The main difference between pci and pci-e (pci express) is speed pci-e is much faster than pci. For what card to use that would depend on what size power supply you are using. What size is your power supply? if your not sure just post the make and model of your system and we can look it up.

I just found this card lying around the house.  Is it any good?  will it work well with an HP a1130n?
Thanks,
K

The v3100 requires a 300 watt or greater power supply, so your going to be cutting it close. Other than that it should work fine.
