So, I have given myself another project and it is way out of my league.

I have a device that can communicate with a UDP connection. I would like to write an app to control it via a mobile phone. My current phone supports J2ME so I want to go that route for now.

Can someone recommend some great sources for novice java programmers to help me get started? Links, books, code samples, etc... would be helpful.

A online tutorial would be awesome!

Thanks much!
