Hi,

I am now working with view and would like to retrieve the contents by column in the view. How to do this in Java?

      Column A    Column B   Column C
       Value 1A      Value 1B   Value 1C
       Value 2A      Value 2B   Value 2C
       Value 3A      Value 3B   Value 3C
       Value 4A      Value 4B   Value 4C
       Value 5A      Value 5B   Value 5C

In LotusScript we can use "myListView.Items(2).SubItem(0).Text" to get a spcific value. Is there anything like that in Java?

Many thanks.

The LotusScript code you gave looks strange to me... I assume you confuse it with JavaScript or so??

To get values from columns in a view, you need the ColumnValues property (in LS) or getColumnValues() in Java, but always applied to a document.

Do you have some code we could have a look at?

Hi Sjef,

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply! getColumnValues()...this is what I need.

For the code in my question...maybe I made an error as I did not double-check my reference book. Anyway let it go as I have got your answer.

thanks agian and you have a super day!
