can i know the code to communicate using c# 2005 serial port class
mainly i need to know how to read from the device

if possible please update me with full details about system.IO.Ports

Here you find the sources for the VS 2003 and .NET 1.1 (which not includes serial port access):

Also there is a small demo app (terminal). You can adapt the demo application to the .NET 2.0 serial class.

I did not compare if the demo apps are identical or not.
