HI all

i have a e-system 3083 laptop that has suddenly died. it is shorting.

the power adaptor is ok and i have checked it with another P.A.

when you plug the P.A into the laptop, the power light of the laptop starts blinking as though it is shorting. and when you plug another P.A into the laptop, you can hear the noise as though this too is shorting.

any suggestions?

Thanks

by the way, i haven't got a clue about how this points systems works. aslo looking for an easy life

It sounds as though you might have a bad connection between your power adapter and the motherboard.  It can sometimes be soldered and fixed depending on the type of connector.

I would suggest taking it to a repair expert and have them attempt a solder fix on it.  The main problem you'll face by not fixing it is two-fold; shortened battery life because of the short and two no battery charge at all!

Good luck!
