When creating a new user account no email address are created and user doesn't show up in GAL

Windows 2003 and Exchange 2003.

Recently upgraded to Exch 2003  added server to Organization the migrated mailboxes to new server.

I also now see it isn't even creating a mailbox.

The mailbox is not created until required.
The GAL isn't updated until the email address hasn't been generated.
The email address is generated by the recipient update service.

When you migrated to the new server, did you remove the original server using the correct procedure? There are elements that have to be moved to the new server.

If so, search this site for recipient update service (RUS) as we discuss it frequently. The links to troubleshooting are posted at least three or four times a week so you will not have to go far to find them.

It was the RUS still looking at the old server.
