IBM 1140 chirping noise coming from left side of print when documents print
The company I work for uses an IBM infoprint 1140. I'm hearing a chirp noise while documents print from the left side of the printer.
I removed the left cover and I can hear the noise from under the plastic safety cover. The first gear you can see is a shaft that is turned by
a series of gears behind the shaft. Furthermore, I don't see any worn parts. Any ideas on what can cause a chirping noise ? ie. bearing, worn part, etc. ?
thx,
Steve K.

>> I'm hearing a chirp noise while documents print from the left side of the printer. << can be paper debris, or dust. give it a good maintenace call, vacuum it (remove toner) if possible, clean rollers with moistened cloth

The printer looks clean. I removed the toner cartridge and side cover and see no signs of paper or a jam up. I even sprayed some
lubricant to see if I can quiet the noise no luck. The sound appears to becoming from one of the gears, but no wearing is present.

I'm leaning toward a bearing issue. The printer is a few years old so the manager in Customer Service wants to replace it. The replacement
