Micrografx Draw tasks not displaying

I have Micrografx Draw 6 installed on my Windows XP Pro computer.  It has been on here for several years.  When I started it up today, the initial window/screen that usually lists common tasks to start with is now not displaying those tasks.  There is a highlighted bar that moves up and down with my mouse, but no tasks are displayed.  I can click on any of the task locations, and it takes me to the task that is represented in that location, but I can't see its description.  Once I go into Draw, there is a menu bar on the left side of the screen listing tasks.  Similarily, these tasks are not displaying either.  There is a little icon to the left of each task location, but no text where there should be some.

It has been a while since I've used this program, so I'm not sure when the problem started.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Draw, leaving any shared DLLs on the system.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Draw, allowing the program to deleted any shared DLLs during the uninstall.

Thank you.

Lyonski,

About a year ago, one of the patches Microsoft issued for Windows XP appear to have killed Micrografx products on XP. I and several other long-time users of Picture Publisher / iGrafx experienced this, and subsequently I found that users of Draw have experienced it as well.

I have never been able to figure out what patch it was (there was a several week period when a large number of patches were issued and my machine was set to automatically update). Currently, I use a dual-boot system, with XP and 2000 installed on separate hard drives so I can swap back and forth as needed.

:(
