How to resynchronize a Microsoft comfort keyboard

My Microsoft comfort keyboard 1.0a started causing me a problem because as I was typing, keys would not work.  Therefore I replaced the batteries but now I don't know how to reach synchronize the keyboard with a system receiving device.  The only key that works is the Microsoft key that when you depress it the start menu comes up.

I am looking for user manual online but so far I have not been able to locate one.  Appreciate any help

There should be a button on the bottom of the keyboard (it might be a very small button that is recessed which you'll need to press with a thin object like a pen) that will synchronise with the receiving device or you may have to press a button on the receiving device to synch with the keyboard.
