Failed to update the links between the issue and selected tasks.

Getting this error message: Project Server failed to update the links between the issue and selected tasks.  Log on to Project Web Access and link the issue to tasks from the Tasks, Resource Assignments, or Project Drill-down page.

Some research found that the intranet url might be wrong in configuration, but that's not the case.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think it was a DNS issue, I added the server name and IP to the hosts file and problem went away.
