HELP!!!!

We had a power outage last night and once the UPS gave out the exchange server was turned off.  Unfortunately it was not a proper shutdown.  It was just turned off.

When I rebooted the server and try to log in as the Administrator it just hangs at applying computer settings.  It been this way for about 30 minutes.

Now, The email is flowing and I am able to access the System Manager from my xp computer, so exchange is working.

Any ideas on how to proceed? Should I turn if off and back on again?  Will this make the situation worse.  Should I let stay that way?

Thanks!!!
