Keep using current version of offline address book

My outlook 2003 is configured to download full details for offline address book. This works fine when I'm in the office, but when I'm at home and connected through VPN to the exchange server, it takes a LOT of time before I see mails coming in. Watching the "Outlook Send/Receive Progress" it appears that this has to do with Outlook downloading a new version of OAB.

Is there a way to tell Outlook that I'm "happy" with the current version of OAB and I don't want it to be updated (but I do want it offline)?
