I am running a home network which includes a network printer.  I can print to this printer from any computer including my office laptop via the wireless network.  However, once the VPN for access to my office files and email is initiated, we loose access to the local network printer.  How can I print to my local printer while on the VPN?

The home network computers are all running Windows XP.  The office laptop is running Windows 2000.  The printer is on a static local TCP/IP 192.168.1.211 and is a Brother MFC-8840DN.

I personally have only rudementary expertise in networking so please assume that I am a novice.  The urgency is getting my efficiency up to something reasonable rather than stopping and restarting the VPN every time I need to print.

Thank you.
