Hello,

A very quick question regarding .ost security...

One of my colleagues just had his laptop stolen. We use Exchange in cached mode on Outlook 2003. Obviously, he has a password on his Windows XP account. My question is, how hard is it for someone to access his .ost file (and thus his email) without knowing his password? We have quite a few emails with passwords etc in them that I would not like someone to get a hold of... I know you can quite easily read NTFS partitions using Linux (and I don't know if he made his files private). But I don't know what kind of encryption Outlook uses for .ost files. Thanks for any help / advice you can give.
