I want to put the thrid-party vendor's dll into GAC.<br />

I created a setup project and added special folder &quot;GAC&quot; and added assemblies to this folder. I am not at the moment added any of my app dlls.<br />

Now when I run the .msi project, it prompts for folder path as C:\Program files\MyCompany\AppFolder.<wbr /> My question is when I have only GAC files and do not have app deployment files, why does it create folder under Program Files? Is there any way I can get rid of this?<br />
