why not give him the points in the other question?

The answer provided was not a solution to the problem in his original question. Others answered his actual question far better than I did.

Then he can not really give you points this way. He needs to make a new question and then you can answer it then he can give you the points. That way when people search the problem they get your answer.

I've been giving people points this way for 4 years.
