I recently had to reinstall our Windows 2003 Server and I also reinstalled SQL Server 2000.  Before the reinstall of the server we were replicating data from a remote location to this server without a problem.  Now that I have done the reinstall I can't seem to get the server to communicate with the remote server to reinitialize our data replication.  I have setup the alias and both installation have SP4.  I currently have an installation of SQL Server 2005 on my laptop and I tried to connect to the server from there remotely and it worked just fine.  It just doesn't seem to want to communicate to another instance of SQL Server 2000.

Any ideas would be appreciated since I seem to be fresh out.
