Microsoft Access database permissions - linked tables

Hi there,

Just having a bit of an issue with good old permissions.

I've got an Intranet here that's run under IIS on one computer. Some of the asp pages use a Microsoft Access database that's located on that same computer. This database has some of its own tables, but mostly has linked tables to another Access database on another computer.

The pages are running fine on the web server, but all other computers are getting the dreaded "The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file 'xxx.mdb'. It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view its data." error.

I'm a bit confused, as I thought that as long as the IUSR account has the correct permissions on both the remote Access file and the enclosing folder then all would be fine. And seeing as how everything runs perfectly on the web server, which by my understanding is using the same IUSR account that all other computers would be using, then I don't understand why this isn't working.

Love some help, I feel like I'm hitting my head up against a wall.
