Exchange Push ActiveSync Error - 0x85010004 - Help Anybody?

I am in the process of configuring our Windows 2003 Server Domain Controller that is running Exchange Standard 2003 SP2 to connect to our windows mobile 5 devices.

The server has all hotfixes up-to-date and I have followed all of the microsoft white papers to create a new virtual directory, edit the registry and so on and so forth.

My certificate is installed correctly and is 100% supported on my device.

So the question remains why i keep getting the following error code on my device when i try to sync with my exchange server using either gprs or a usb connection : 0x85010004!

I have looked and this error online and it points to using enforce device security but this is not currently enabled in the exchange system manager so i am a little stumped!

I have also gone so far as to compare settings with my friend who also successfully runs Exchange Push on his network with a very similar setup.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Standard question.
Does OMA work?
When you access OMA, do you get a certificate prompt?

You may also want to search this site, as the question comes up very frequently.

ASKER

When i do mail.domain.com/oma it asks for username & password and then redirects to a 404 file not found error.

So i guess the answer to that question is no.  Does OMA need to be working for activesync to work?

If so how can get around this?  OWA works fine.
Ok scratch that last comment....

I get this error :

HTTP Error 403.6 - Forbidden: IP address of the client has been rejected.

Well to be completely honest with have tried many fixes trying to get this working.

I have already tried that fix with no success.  What else can i try?
That probably means the folders are not working correctly if you have tried lots of things.

Reset the virtual folders back to their default.

Ok i'll give this a go on Monday!
This is working now.  The problem was with leaving the IP setting on deny on Active-Sync!
