I inherited an application that utilizes odbc to connect to mysql.

everything is running fun and dandy but somethines i see slow queries. I monitor everthing (slow being just over .5 seconds) on tables that have fewer then 1000 records.

note everything is properly indexed.

how much if any performance improvement will i see using ole db.

mysql is 4.x hosted at go daddy
and they are running 1.1 of the frame work

i access the data through web services.

thanks for any tid bids. I am the sole developer and any and all help is appreciated. I can only do so much research
