I'm having a problem burning audio CDs from MP3s.
I'm using an ASUS DRW-1608-P3S burner, which comes up as "DVD-RAM" drive in My Computer, but has no recording abilities through Windows. I read the Windows KB article about changing the registry but the article only had information regarding changing to a CD-R or CD-RW drive. The firmware is up to date. This may be part of the problem, or it may not be, I'm just providing this as background information.
Anyway, when I go to burn an audio CD through Nero, or I also tried CDBurnerXP, the lengths of the songs are cut short. For example, a 3:20 song might show up as 2:48 or a 2:30 song might show up as 2:02 and when burned, it will have the shorter length and stop before the song is through.
When I try to burn through Windows Media Player (which does display the right times), it doesn't work because it doesn't detect the drive as a burner. I'm wondering if I changed it to a CD burner in the registry if I would be able to burn in WMP and also burn DVDs through Nero?
At any rate, I'm wondering how I can fix this so that the songs aren't cut short :-)
