Let me start by saying I recieved this info 2nd hand.
I have a customer with McAfee AV running on a Red Hat Linux server. The licesnse expired & I was told when they rebooted the server McAfee will not run - cannot start the app. I have purchased them a new license. I recieved the grant number. I was told that they searched the server for any files that may hold the grant number but have not found any. The only thing I can find info on is using the grant number on McAfee's site to recieve updates & dat downloads. So here's the question. If I can't get McAfee to run, how do I get the McAfee app to see the grant number. Do I have to reinstall McAfee or is there a file I can edit?
