C++ deleting information from text file - VERY URGENT

This is one section of my program which starts out with a main menu that allows the user to pick from adding a new reservation, deleting an existing reservation, printing reservations or exiting the program.  This is the deleting an existing reservation section.

I need to have a for loop (or some kind of loop) that checks to make sure that last name exists in the text file.  If it finds that file, it needs to find the car type, increment the value and delete that vector.  I also need an error message if that name does not exist.  Any help to be pointed in the right direction would be great.  Thank you.

This is what I have so far:

#include "reservations.h"
#include <iostream>
#include <fstream>
#include <vector>
#include <string>

using namespace std;

//declare variables
string strInput;

//calling functions
void readReservationInfo();
void writeReservationInfo();
void readInventory();
void writeInventory();

void deleteReservation(strInput)
      void readReservationInfo();
      void readInventory();
      cout << "Last name of reservation you would like to delete:" << endl;
      cin >> strInput;

      //check to see if name exists

      //populate Array and update file
      void writeReservationInfo();
      void writeInventory();
