I have a page with the left frame name="contents" and the right frame name="main".  The Main frame has three horizontal frames: name=a, name=b, name=c.

I want to click on a leaf in the left "contents" frame and load a page in main.a.  Clicking on another link in "contents" may load into a main.b or main.c.

"contents" is a tree applet, when I click of the tree, i issie - getAppletContext().showDocument(url, target).  The page does not appear in the desired nested frames, but rather as a new browser instance.  I guess the target is wrong.  I set tartget to:

To load in "a" I set the target to
target = "a" or target = "main.a"

(I can load in "main" by setting the target to "main")!.

This is my source code:

  <frameset cols="210,*" >
    <frame name="contents" src=nav.htm>
    <frameset rows="25,*">
        <frame name="path"   src="path.htm">
        <frame name="main" src="three.htm">
    </frameset>
  </frameset>

three.htm:

<frameset rows="33%,33%,*">
    <frame name="a">
    <frame name="b">
    <frame name="c">
</frameset>

I click on a link in nav.htm and I want a page to load in "a' or "b" or "c".

I am able to load it in "a": parent.frames[1].location = myUrl;

I cannot load anything in "b" or "c".

Thanks a lot!!!
