Question regarding multicasting addresses
Hi
Can someone answer a question for me. I understand that addresses in the 224.0.0.1 - 224.0.1.255 are reserved for Multicast, and the 239.0.0.0/8 subnet are reserved for Private Multicast.
Are any of these addresses routable on the internet, or are they for internal use only? Can Company A provide multicast services across the internet to Company B if there networks are completely seperate, or would they need to configure a VPN or similar between them?
Thanks
