Before sending the laptop off, check the voltage on the a/c adapter with a volt meter. &nbsp;The expected voltage should be imprinted on the adapter.<br />

Well if the a/c adapter is bad, the battery could just be dead because it won't charge. Just might save you the headache of boxing up the laptop, it's a long shot, but only takes &nbsp;a few minutes to check, unless you can't find a multimeter...&lt;smile&gt;
