I accidentally hosed (for lack of a better term) my system yesterday.
I deleted a bunch of files (thankfully not as root) that I should not have.
I am now trying to reinstall my software and I'm having troubles.  The first
one that I tried to get back is qt in Debian Linux and I have troubles.  At best,
I have a half assed understanding of installing linux so please keep that in
mind in your answers.  I typed the following:

apt-get install qt

and I got the following reply:

Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
E: Couldn't find package qt

Quite simply: what do I do?

Thanks
