Exchange 2000
We have an exchange 2000 that is working fine. only one problem we can send email me to all domain except one domain. we send a lot of mail to a school with a .org extension we never can send mail to them from our exchange 2000 any other domain we can.

nothing else worked so i tried the smart host but now i get this error

but i think what the problem is my isp server requires authentication and they say there is no way around it. the isp is bellsouth. any suggestions how i can this to work with exchnge 2000
There is a way to give authentication details to an SMTP connector - as listed above...
Are you getting any bounce back messages?
I would start by putting their domain and your domain into http://www.dnsreport.com and making sure there are no bleedingly obvious questions.
Then, do a telnet test from the exchange server directly to their server -> http://www.amset.info/exchange/telnet-test.asp
And then, if all else fails, create an SMTP connector for this domain and route it all via your ISPs smarthost -> http://www.amset.info/exchange/smtp-connector.asp
