I am trying to come up with a chart that shows how you should define a data type retrieved from sql into a c# data type, and vice-versa. Here is the chart beginnings (see below). I am primarily concerned about the common data types money, boolean values, integers, real numbers etc, character/text type fields. I have searched the web and cannot find a chart that shows how you should define a variable in C# 2.0 to be equivalent to a SQL data type.

SQL to C#

BigInt -->
Int --> int (?)
SmallInt -->  int (?)
TinyInt -->
Decimal or Numeric -->
Money --> decimal (?)
SmallMoney --> decimal (?)
Float --> float (?)
DateTime -->
SmallDateTime -->
Cursor -->
Timestamp/rowversion -->
UniqueIdentifier -->
Char -->
VarChar -->
NChar -->
NVarChar -->
Binary -->
VarBinary -->
Sql_variant -->
XML -->

C# to SQL

byte -->
sbyte -->
char -->
int -->
uint -->
long -->
ulong -->
short -->
ushort -->
bool -->
decimal -->
double -->
float -->
string -->
