I need to write an application to caputre SMDR data over serial from our Comdial MP5000 PBX. &nbsp;I'm not even really sure where to start. &nbsp;I do know the protocol and interface values such as com2 19200, 8, n, 1. &nbsp;I'd like to dump the data into MSSQL<br />

Does anyone have any suggestions or perhaps even code samples to help me get started?<br />

Capturing SMDR Data from PBX

Most development for the Microsoft platform is done utilizing the technologies supported by the.NET framework. Other development is done using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) for programs like Access, Excel, Word and Outlook, with PowerShell for scripting, or with SQL for large databases.
