Remote Desktop to 3 servers

Scenario:
Remote Desktop to view 3 different servers on the same network (web, db, file) separately.

I am aware of features in 2003 server for Remote Desktops and tools like VNC but I'm still wondering if it's possible to just remote to different ports to access different servers.

I changed the remote desktop ports to 3388 and 3387 in registry and configured router/firewall for port forwarding.

The main one with the default 3389 works fine from remote and through it I can remote to the other ones (internal IP i.e. 192.168.1.10:3388 etc), however, I'm still not able to remote-in from the outside directly to:  ipaddress:3388 or ipaddress:3387 whereas ipaddress:3389 works fine.

I double checked the modem / firewall / router settings.  Seems straight forward.  Any suggestions?
