services exchange are stopping
On our exchange server (windows 2000 latest servicepack and exchange 2000 latest servidepack) we have a big problem
The following services are stopping every 15 and 30 minutes.
The following services are stopping:
IIS
WWW publishing services
Exchange pop3
Network news protocol
Exchange imap4
IIS admin service
SMTP protocol
NNtpsvc service
Event id 7031 with category none is displayed for all of these services
On our exchange server symantec brightmail (against spam) is running. The badmail folder is emptied.
On brightmail the server is rejecting spam messages (maybe it is sending the rejected spam to the bad mail folder, have to investigate that)
We now are logging the smtp service to see what kind of mail is flowing around
Any suggestions ?

Mass2612: corrupt mails already gone.
Problem solved: Symantec Antispam brightmail was causing the issue. We rejected mail which was spam. Symantec Antispam dropped the rejected messages in the bad mail folder. Secondly there was an error in the rules setting to Symantec ..Strange but true.
Refund the points please.
