Application stops my computer from shutting down.

I have created a application that lies in the systray.
I have prevented the application from closeing when the Red cross i pressed with the following code:

this.Closing += new System.ComponentModel.CancelEventHandler(this.Form1_Closing);

private void Form1_Closing(object sender, System.ComponentModel.CancelEventArgs e)
       // Hide the form...
      // Cancel the close...
       e.Cancel = true;

I just have the problem, that my computer will not shutdown, unless I close my program first.
What can I do? - is the above code bad, or what?
And how is the best/most correct code to be executed in an Exit button?
