Is 'Free' in Domain Name Bad for SEO?

We are launching a new site and are trying to decide on a domain name. We have narrowed the options down to 3. One of the names has the word 'free' in it. My question is this bad for seo? Do search engines penalize domain names with the word 'free' in it because they think the site may be spammy (obviously, this site wont be, it will have a lot of good content on it). Thank you for your help.
