Novell/Windows drive mapping conflicts

We are in the middle of transitioning our network between Novell and Windows2003.  I just got a new XPSP2 box and loaded the Novell client 4.91.3 in addition to having it join the Windows domain.  When the login script in Novell runs, it fails with an 8804 error on the drive letters that have also been mapped in the Windows login script.

So for example, the I:, K:, and N: drives are being mapped successfully to the Windows2003 server rather than the Novell Server.  To make things more interesting, the R: drive, which does not have a matching directory on the Windows server yet maps to Novell just fine.

Until the conversion is complete and stable, I want the Novell mappings to win (which they do on all of the existing XPSP2 machines).  What am I missing?  I am sure there is a setting where Windows is is ensuring that it always wins, but I have no idea where to look.
